Ashtanga Yoga

In his teaching approach Alexander tries to combine the dynamics and intensity of Ashtanga Yoga with asana alignment “through bandhas” and adjustment within the flow of breath.
“It’s crucial to follow the principle of Yama/Niyama: ahimsa—be abstinent from malign violence towards your body; satya—impartially accept the limits of the body; asteya—do not pursue the practice results of others; aparigraha—to move forward with patience and moderateness without greed for progress; and, finally, santosha—do not lose your heart and feel gratitude for each moment on your yoga mat. The faith in practice (shraddha) and perseverance will inevitably lead you to success”.
